Hello Old Friends and Happy December

Well hello there friends!  It's been a while.  Far too long if you ask me!  Blogging with a little one has been almost next to impossible while also working full-time! However, I am still extremely determined to figure out the whole work-life, mom-life, blog-life balance.  So let's not waste another second.

December has always been one of my favorite months to blog simply because I get to share so many pretty things with you all and dream a little.

Today I'm sharing 3 items I'd love to see under the Christmas tree this year with my name on them.

First up, the Crosley Turntable.  Honestly, I don't care what color it is or any real specific features.  I just want to drop the needle in the grove and hear amazing music.

Next on the lists, what good is a record player without the vinyl?

Albums on the left can be found at Crate and Barrel.  Pick up my faves on the right from Urban Outfitters.

Last on the list...a new wallet! I have this black Coach wristlet that somehow turned into my permanent wallet and it makes NO SENSE at all!  Ok, pre Fiona it made perfect sense (to me that is), but now I need easy access when paying for things and juggling Miss Fi.  

The Henri Bendel Organizer Wallet would be a dream!

I went total country on y’all this week with the exception of song #5. My brother and I lost our minds for a second and decided to DRIVE all the way from NC to NYC last weekend instead of flying like usual. It was such a long drive but, thank goodness we are two complete goofballs when we are together and know how to entertain. The Fox by Ylvis came on the radio and totally had us dancing like two crazy people! It was hilarious so I had share. The song is NOT that great but, it does kinda send ya to loony town for a hot minute!

So am I one of the only people to still watch Grey’s Anatomy like religiously? Last night I swear I couldn’t even get into the show for obsessing over all the great music in the episode! Kendrick Lamar’s “Swimming Pools” came on and I literally stopped to see if my computer or phone was playing the song-I loved it, but how random to be on Grey’s? The best part of the entire show for me was the last few minutes when all the couples were coming together. I’m a TOTAL sucker as you know for romance and the John Legend song “You and I” that was playing during these last few scenes would make any girl smitten!

So...Last week when I skipped town my sweet Mama asked to take over the Delightfully Chic blog on Friday and share a few of her favorite songs for the week's top 5 downloads!

Of course I was thrilled and being the punctual lady that she is, I had her list by Monday morning.

Well, you see her daughter waits till the last minute on EVERYTHING, but this is because I completely overbook myself in every aspect of my life.  After I was about an hour out of town it hit me that I had not posted precious Mama's top picks and since this was a girl's trip...I had left all work including laptop at home :(

Woo Hoo! It's FINALLY the weekend!

I feel like I have put in at least 2 weeks’ worth of work this week.

This chick is ready to kick her heels up and have one carefree kind of weekend.  Staring with a little girls night tonight, soaking up sunrays poolside Saturday (Sorry rain and clouds, you're not on the guest list), and tomorrow night going to see Mr. Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line in concert!!! I absolutely adore LB so I'm super stoked!

Once again I can't seem to limit myself to just 5 downloads so this week turn the volume on up and enjoy 10 great downloads!

Jay-Z released his new album with of course a great track featuring Mr. Timberlake. Every time I hear it, I like just a little bit more, BUT, make sure to also check out "Tom Ford" also on the record.

Song #8 you have probably heard but, thought I would include for any of you who haven't. I personally like to sing this one with the volume extra loud to drown out my horrific singing skills.

The last two…well now I gotta get pumped up for tomorrow night! ; )

The Oh Hello's {Hello my old heart} and {Sweater Weather} by The Neighbourhood both make the body sway and are a nice little sing-a-long for summer.

{Brave} by Sara Bareilles...we can all use a little positive uplifting tune every now and then.

Bonus song #6 has been out for over a year but, I swear it wasn't until recently that I have actually heard {Home} by Edward Sharpe and Magnetic Zeros finally getting some airplay.

I could play this song everyday without it getting old!

I Spy {Governors Ball Festival Fashion}

The Governors Ball was this past weekend in NYC and as with any musical festival that I am not in attendance, my level of envy was pretty major!
The three day event was one big ole' muddy mess but, let's be real, a phenom music line up and reverting back to childish mud pie shenanigans is surely a recipe for one blast of a good time!
