I am sure by now you have heard the buzz that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is about to kickoff! 

Some of you might not have a clue what I am talking about or why the anniversary sale is so major!  So let's start with the basics before I give you a major sneak peek inside the sale before it even goes live!!  

Why is this Sale so Special

This is the stores BIGGEST sale of the year.  I am talking up to 70% OFF select items. What's even more amazing about this sale...the sale features new pieces from the upcoming FALL collections.  That's right...you get to shop all the newest items at a SALE price right when they hit the store!  After the sale all items will return to their original price.

How To Shop

 I will be the first to say I love walking into Nordstrom and taking a deep breath and breathing all the greatness in...BUT for this sale...Yall it is NUTS in the store! So, I personally recommend shopping this sale one of two ways. 1) Online - no crowds and you can shop in your pjs, no makeup, and coffee in hand! 2) Shop online and do an in-store pickup! If you live close to a store shop online and pick up in store.  Then you miss the crowds and you still get to walk in and take that deep breath of "Nordy" air! 

Tips

Review the items BEFORE the sale starts.  Make your list...yall this is serious...get your game plan in place.  If you are wanting to snag new fall boots or booties GRAB THEM FIRST! They sell out SUPER fast! I also feel like cardigans sell out quickly too!

My Top 5 Daily Beauty Essentials

Let me first start off by saying I am NO expert on this topic, but I have tried (like so many of us) just about every product on the market.  I also, have the incredibly talented hair and makeup artist Dena Christine close by guiding and pointing me in the right direction.  For Christmas this past year she totally set a sister up for success with several new products to try.

So, I'm sharing today 5 products that are now in my everyday routine that I will never be able to leave without again!  If you haven't tried these products I really hope you will give them a try. 

Per usual I am linking everything up to make it easier for you!  

1. Urban Decay Optical Illusion Complexion Primer - I was one of the unfortunate Mama's who developed a pregnancy mask instead of that gorgeous pregnancy glow.  I was so happy pregnant that I really didn't realize I did not have that beautiful dewy complexion until after delivery and looking back at pictures.  After pregnancy I realized I had developed  Melasma and it is a bear to combat. I also have a larger pore size. When I say this primer is AMAZING...hear me!  It helps to conceal my pore size and keep my foundation in place to help conceal the skin discoloration. 

2. Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion - To be completely honest I've always just considered my foundation as my primer for my eye-shadow, but eye shadow primer is a total game changer.  I never have to worry about smudges or creasing with this primer. 

3. Urban Decay All Nighter Finishing Spray - Remember that dewy skin I was talking about?!  This finishing spray total seals in your look and gives that fresh dewy look to your skin.  I use about three sprays and hold about 4 inches from my face when spraying.  With warmer months ahead this is a must to have in your beauty collection.  

4. Estee Lauder - Double Wear Light - I feel like most of you already know this is HANDS DOWN the BEST foundation ever.  BUT, for those that don't I promise you will thank me for this one.  I literally have tried every foundation on the market.  Prior to Fiona my face was crazy oily and nothing would stay on my face giving full coverage for more than a couple of hours.  I have worn double wear light and the double wear full cover for YEARS and no matter the season or cycle change in life this foundation stands the test of time! 

5. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - If you are looking to plump up your lashes without clumping this is the mascara for you!  I have super short lashes and this really gives them life.  On weekends I try to use my lash curler and that really helps too.

A Cozy Valentine's Day

Hello Old Friends and Happy December

Well hello there friends!  It's been a while.  Far too long if you ask me!  Blogging with a little one has been almost next to impossible while also working full-time! However, I am still extremely determined to figure out the whole work-life, mom-life, blog-life balance.  So let's not waste another second.

December has always been one of my favorite months to blog simply because I get to share so many pretty things with you all and dream a little.

Today I'm sharing 3 items I'd love to see under the Christmas tree this year with my name on them.

First up, the Crosley Turntable.  Honestly, I don't care what color it is or any real specific features.  I just want to drop the needle in the grove and hear amazing music.

Next on the lists, what good is a record player without the vinyl?

Last on the list...a new wallet! I have this black Coach wristlet that somehow turned into my permanent wallet and it makes NO SENSE at all!  Ok, pre Fiona it made perfect sense (to me that is), but now I need easy access when paying for things and juggling Miss Fi.

I love, love, love a good pair of sunnies, but my track record of hanging

on to them and keeping the lens scratch free is not the best.

Back in my "younger" more "carefree" days it was
