Today, February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day! How will you contribute to this awesome day? I'm sharing 18 ways YOU can make a difference today and everyday!
Remember Kindness is Contagious!!
Be the positive change you want to see in thisbeautiful world!
As you know there have been TONS of decorating projects
going on in the Gaither house since we moved in back in November. One room I keep putting off, but, absolutely cannot wait to
see completed is my Delightfully Chic office. I decided to keep my desk
and chair from my previous office in my town-home because I still adore them so
much. When I brainstorm the new look of DChic I keep seeing soft tones of
pink and coral with a mix of grey and of course, white!
Here’s where I am currently at in the planning process...
She has an absolutely gorgeous family and as I said before super loving husband that
builds her up and supports her in so many ways. If you are a fan of the show, you know exactly what I am talking about.
This past week Joanna took a few minutes to share her powerful and inspiring story
about faith, family, and responding to the call of God and the impact HE has had on her life.
This is just too good not to share...The world would be a better place if we had more role models like sweet Jo Jo in our daily social media feeds and in life.
Thank you "Jo Jo" for staying true to your faith and all that you are doing for little ole dreamers like me!
Over the past 5 years I have felt like I have been on an emotional rollercoaster with many life experiences including a few heartbreaks with family, friends, and a long term relationship. However, I have always believed that God is in total control and no matter how out of control things can become I know that everything is leading to something so much greater.
Life is still not perfect and I am still working towards many goals but, there is nothing better than catching yourself smiling for no reason at all. I have made several changes in my life for ME and decided a few months back to focus all of my energy on myself in search of my love within. If it makes me happy then I will go for it. If it doesn't make me smile and intrigue me...I don't waste my time or energy.
Like the saying goes...Life is too short to be anything but happy!
My challenge to you and myself is to take this week to reflect on your life and the path you are walking. If you aren't where you want to be, then what do you need to do to get where you want to be? What changes do you need or want to make in your life?
Remember...It's NEVER too late to change the path you are on!
This quote could not hit home anymore for me. Since the beginning of December I have made some pretty big decisions about my life and the direction I want to take in 2013. I am excited and confident in my choices BUT, change and stepping out of your comfort zone can always be a little scary.
Each and everyday, I have to remind myself that my dreams are bigger than my fears and it is time (past time) that I start living more fearlessly!!
Here's to a week of not questioning and just doing!!
Last Friday, a close girlfriend and fellow blogger, Angela Charles of Habit Forming Success and I were chatting about life and how sometimes you just want to tell those not so positive people, who never let the past go to PLEASE, just move on!!
During the convo I had a few words of wisdom pop into my head for my darling friend...
Soooo in true blogger fashion, I have created an image of my quote to share with all of you!
Happy Monday Loves!
I hope you have a delightful and positive day and week!
xoxo,
*ps..If you are a quote junkie like me- feel free to "repin" here
Yesterday, I was simply over the moon excited for a dear college friend of mine, Lindsey (Tilley) Cheek and her husband Grayson. A few months back Lindsey, Gray, and their beautiful daughter Tilley-Gray invited HGTV into their home for a photo shoot that would be featured in an upcoming issue of the mag. After several months (feeling more like an eternity for them I'm sure) the wait is finally over. The glossy pages hit the stands yesterday and the six page spread is simply gorgeous and total perfection!
Here are a few of my faves but, do make sure to pop on over to Fifi Cheek to see more and pickup a copy of the mag!
I can tell you, little Tilley-Gray's nursery...you do not want to miss!
Congrats Lindsey-Couldn't be more excited for y'all!! xoxo,
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to pack my bags and move to south Florida. I LOVE the beach, warm weather, and have a slight obsession with palm trees and tropical flowers. However, my dream job would require me to make a move in the total opposite direction. Yeap, all the way north to New York City!
Of course loving interior design almost as much as I love fashion and my usual tendency to put the cart before the horse, I immediately start thinking where will I live? What could I afford? Oh no…how tiny will my apartment be?! Will I have a murphy style bed- EEK! BUT, after seeing my darling fave Jen Ramos’ new 975 sq foot NYC pad I felt a slight peace of mind come over me. I am well aware I will most likely be dealing with far less square footage but, “giving up” (aka renting) my current home just over 1,300 square foot in NC becomes a little bit easier after seeing the artistically chic masterpiece Jen has created with limited space!

Happy Weekend Loves! My 31st Birthday is Monday so I am closing up shop to start celebrating with my dearest family and friends! I'll be sharing pics next week...See ya then!
The gift of faith, that you would have a love for God in your heart, the gift of friendship, that you would learn to love others deeply, the gift of peace, that you would enjoy life to its fullest and have a heart filled with peace, the gift of family, that you would embrace family no matter the circumstance, and most of all the gift of forgiveness, that you would discover the healing and restoring power of forgiveness.
Give thanks this Thursday as you gather with family and friends.
I have been a little down in the dumps as my family will be scattered this Thanksgiving but, everything was just put back into perspective when I heard of a family spending their holidays in the hospital with their father that is ill.

When my brother and I were little my mama would always sing this to us...
Count your blessings name then one by one. Count your blessing see what God has done!
An extra special thank you to my amazing parents who have ALWAYS stood by my brother and me through everything. Thank you for always putting your children first and giving us all the opportunities you have. There is something very special about knowing you have a family to lean and call on. If my brother and I can even be half the parents one day that our parents have been to us...well then, we will be doing even better than ok!
I love you Mama and Daddy!
Last year at Part I of my 30th birhday celebrations!
