Quote of the Week {Weekend Wrap Up}

Happy Monday!
How was your weekend?
 We are still riding one crazy heat wave here in NC and all I can think about is the beach!
We have a couple more weeks before we head that way but, I will be more than ready when
the time arrives. Since Scott's dad had to be out of town on
father’s day, we celebrated Friday night with a family dinner and some country cooking
at a Gaither fave, Cracker Barrel!
Slacker here did not even snap one pic!  How terrible is that?!

Saturday, Scott and I spent the day in Apex.
We started the morning by picking up my wedding bouquet that I had
dried and placed in a shadow box. I just love it!
The box also includes my feather embellished hairpiece and belt
that I wore during the reception and part of our wedding invitation.

Next, it was off to the  Peak City Pig Fest in downtown Apex.
So much fun, but my word it was H-O-T, HOT!
We took in good food, pig races, and a little shopping!

Sunday, it was all about the man who hung the moon!
Church, afternoon lunch, presents, and QT!
My brother and Tina had to miss the celebration as they were back in NYC
Celebrating Tina’s brother’s wedding!

Sweet daddy! I just can't tell you how much I love this man!

We wrapped up the weekend as we usually do with a ride in the ’48 and a trip
to Lowes.  Saturday I picked up a dresser that I have big plans for so I needed to get a few
paint samples.  Stay tuned for updates on this DIY!

I could not agree more with this weeks quote!
It's even more fitting for hot summer days!

 Here's to the last full week of June!
Make it a great one!

The Perfect DIY for Festival Season

It's almost festival season and with Coachella set to kickoff
April 10th a DIY on Flower Crowns just seemed like a must!

Everyone in favor of a little flower power say TULIP!
Haha, sorry I couldn't resist the cheesy moment!

So now that you just had an overload of complete gorgeousness I'll turn things over
to Jen of Green Wedding Shoes for your 7 steps to floral perfection!

Here's a peek of steps 4-7

I know, you're now totally dying to start prepping for this
weekends project! No special event or festival to attend...
No biggie, I plan to repaint our basketball goal this weekend, maybe
I'll jazz things up a bit, play a game of horse with the hubby all
while rocking my flower crown of course?!

I Spy {Governors Ball Festival Fashion}

The Governors Ball was this past weekend in NYC and as with any musical festival that I am not in attendance, my level of envy was pretty major!
The three day event was one big ole' muddy mess but, let's be real, a phenom music line up and reverting back to childish mud pie shenanigans is surely a recipe for one blast of a good time!

At any given moment,
You have the power to say...
This is NOT how the story is going to end!

I Spy {Celebs at Coachella}

Last weekend marked the kickoff of  Coachella and per usual all the hippie chic festival attire had me swooning in delight and tossin up a few peace signs!
Free People is probably one of my all time fave stores to shop and we all know I have one insane love affair with music so you can imagine my obsession with the Coachella Festival!

I was completely the lame-o watching the live feed from the comfiness of my couch Sunday night swearing AGAIN this year that next year I am sooooooo there!!
One day...One day!
Tons of celebs hit the event every year...
I just love seeing how they embrace their inner flower child.

My vote has to go to the VS Angels, Alessandra Ambrosio,  Miranda Kerr, and Candice Swanepoel for not only the happiest pic of the weekend but their AMAZING attire!

If you missed the fun this past weekend have no worries, weekend #2 kicks off on Friday!
