Happy chilly Monday!
I hope you all are staying warm and put
on your coziest blanket scarf this morning!
I have been full speed ahead since last Thursday along with
my Service League sisters
prepping and pulling off another successful Holly
Days Bazaar!
Everything kicked off Thursday night when I called in backup, Mama and
I made 14 dozen cookies for the bake sale at the event.
We made 4 dozen Chocolate Crackle Cookies and
10
dozen Pumpkin Spice Cookies. I am officially
obsessed with the pumpkin spice cookies
so plan on seeing the complete recipe
here on the blog really soon!
Friday, we were busy little bees setting up the event.
Delightfully Chic even had a booth at the event
this year, so that was totally fun and exciting!
Saturday, the doors opened at
9am and it was like black Friday came 2 weeks early!
Yall, have never seen so
many women ready to shop!!
It was AWESOME!
We had a blast and the 35th
Holly Days Bazaar was a total success!
I am ashamed to say I only snapped one pick the entire day!
Here are my cookies all dressed up for the bake sale.
Luckily, my dear friend Olivia stopped by the Delightfully Chic booth
and snapped a pic of us. I was so tickled to introduce Olivia to Baby G!
The best part of Saturday for me actually came when I got
home.
After such a long day I slipped
into my pj’s and refused to part from the couch for the
rest of the night. Every night when I finally lay down to relax
I feel
little Baby G move the most. For
about a week now I have been staring obsessively
at my belly to see if I can
see it move when Baby G moves.
Well,
FINALLY on Saturday night I saw this ever growing belly of mine do the wave!
I immediately
yelled “Scott get over here and LOOK”.
After the second attempt of him coming to see, finally, Scott not only
was able
to see my belly twitch but he also was able to feel Baby G kick!
There are no words that can even explain how
happy I was that Scott was
able to finally join the fun and feel his
sweet baby “scootin’ around” (as he calls it).
Very special moment!
Sunday, I had one thing on my mind. Christmas!
I convinced Scott that since we were not hosting Thanksgiving at our
home it was
totally acceptable to proceed to the most wonderful time of the
year.
So, the fall decorations were packed
up and the Christmas boxes full of cheer
filled our living and dining room. I turned the holiday music on, made a pot of hot
cider and
had the best time starting the whole decorating process. It usually takes a week to complete
since it
is absolutely mandatory that every single room have dash of Christmas.
Make sure you are following Delightfully Chic on Instagram for shots of
decor as we decorate.
