My June Wish List

How is June almost over?!
Before another day slips by -  I'm halting everything to finally share this months wish list!

We are just in the very beginning stages of FINALLY renovating our master bedroom.  You would think I would have moved it up on the priority list much sooner, but in all honesty, I feel the only people who really see it are myself, Scott, and Fiona...and we aren't THAT hard to impress! haha
All jokes aside- I have a vision for this room and the gorgeous Whitlock Pillow and Carlotta Armchair would be an absolutely perfect fit!

The A&F Shorts are on the list simply because I have heard so many fellow bloggers RAVE about these shorts! Y'all know I am NOT a fan of shorts.  So, when people start saying things like, they fit my mom-bod and my cheekies are covered...I'm giving them a go! Plus, they are on major sale!

I've linked everything up below!
What are your faves from the list this month?!
Make sure to comment below!

Ruffle Hem Pants $35
Whitlock and Co Pillow  $42
Kendra Scott Turquoise Pinch  Bracelet $55
Free People Scrunchie 3 for $12
A&F Shorts on Sale for $29
Carlotta Accent Chair $209
Camo Shoes $22

Quote of the Week {Weekend Wrap Up}

Well, that's a wrap on another weekend and the last offical weekend of summer!
What did you do this weekend?!

For us, we kept close by the house and worked
on any and every project we could.
I am almost finished with my latest furniture piece and
I am beyond determined to have Scott and some of his friends
move it into our master bedroom THIS WEEK!
I don't think I'll have to beg, he is so ready for me to have it out of his
workshop.  He says all my projects are totally killing the vibe of
his man cave!

Here's a peak of the fab handles for the piece.

Saturday night we did take a break, thanks to Sweet Mama, and had a little
comic relief with James Gregory in the big town of Liberty!
If you have never heard him before, you're missing out! Hilarious!
However, I do warn you, unless you are 100% Southern, you might not
fall in the floor laughing like we did!

Sunday, it was church then family lunch, compliments of Sweet Mama again!
Then it was back to paint brush and projects!

Did I mention we also shopped paint samples for the nursery this weekend?!
SO, exciting!

This week marks the beginning of fall and I have a tendency to share the
same quote every year as he is one of my favorite authors and I really hate to
break tradition, so…

Canopy Dreams

When I was a little girl, I had a canopy bed that I absolutely adored.
So naturally, if the day comes and we have a daughter I have all intentions of
beautiful draping’s for her to have sweet dreams under each night.
My favorite look at the moment are daybeds with canopy draping’s

And it doesn't always have to be ribbons and lace!

 Are you a fan?

Vintage Finds & Decisions to Make

A few weeks back on one  of my many excursions with mama, we laid eyes on
two vintage lamps from the 70’s. I seriously stopped in my tracks and whipped around to say “ MAMA…oh my  gahhh I HAVE to have these”.  I was obsessed at first glance.  Now, if you know me, you know that I don’t just go to your big retailer stores and shop for our home.  As I said earlier this week, I like character, I like unique finds!  I also may go 3 years with a  blank wall in a particular room because I “just haven’t quite found what I’m looking for”.  I don’t just buy to buy, well that’s when it comes to décor.  Clothes, now that’s a different story.  I have known from the beginning I wanted 2 large lamps for our master bedroom nightstands. These gems were the perfect shade of green and hello they have a dimmer switch…I’m sold!  After purchasing these two dolls I turned to Mama to say, ok now I just need bigger nightstands and two lamps shades. Haha
It’s never ending with me.

So today I’m calling on my DC readers!
What are your thoughts on the style of shade and color?
Being the simple, clean line lover that I am I was thinking white deep drum shaped shades.
Is that too boring or just right?!  I just don’t want to lose the uniqueness of the lamps
by a busy shade.  Here is what we are currently working with.

Keep in mind we are adding
décor over the bed, the drapes will be changing,
and larger nightstands will be added.

And a few looks I’m loving …

Finding Patience and Bedroom Decor

We moved into our new home just 3 months ago and are working room
by room to pull our forever home together.  I have been reminded so many times
that I need to have a little patience and that some of the envisions and plans
I have for our home will take a little time.  Example, no matter how much I want to believe
that each Saturday morning when I wake up I will head outside to
plant gorgeous hydrangea bushes, reality check, it's winter and with 6 inches of
snow on the ground as we speak, outdoor landscaping isn't happening right now.

One thing I can work on at the moment is the decor over our master bed.
Since we are newlyweds I do find myself leaning towards incorporating wedding images
over us as we dream.  But, I also want to mix things up a bit by maybe incorporating
drapes or shelving or some other eye catching piece.  As I'm snowed in again today
I took to my old friend Pinterest and a few glossy mags to brainstorm a little further.

Here is our room now...
Now remember this is a work in progress so just look over the drapes (they are being replaced)
and night stand updates are also on the to do list.

And here are a few ideas I'm loving...

What do you suggest?! What looks are you loving?

I Spy: Zara Headed to the States

Eek!  Have you heard the news?

The Zara Home Collection will be making its debut in the States next Tuesday, on October 9th!
I have been a fan of Zara since the first time I walked into the clothing store in Paris, France.
What I love most is the fashion forward threads at such reasonable prices.  I have no doubt the home collection will be nothing short of fabulous.

Here's a sneak peek of Zara Collections around the world!

Elle Mag shared all the juicy details on what can be expected in the upcoming collection...

"70 percent of the goods are textiles (bed, bath, and table linen), and there will also be furniture, tableware, cutlery, and decorative accessories,
including loungewear and gift items"

Stop by Elle for more info and exclusive pics!

I Spy...

Fabric Headboards

My poor guest bed is in desperate need of a headboard!  As of now, I have a gazillion pillows on the bed with the hopes of causing a diversion and distracting everyone from this "minor" (cough cough) detail!

Guest bed Headboard...You're officially on the Spring to-do list!

With the recent launch of the Delightfully Chic Shop my funds are limited for my spring projects!
What are your suggestions on inexpensive yet chic headboards?
