My June Wish List

How is June almost over?!
Before another day slips by -  I'm halting everything to finally share this months wish list!

We are just in the very beginning stages of FINALLY renovating our master bedroom.  You would think I would have moved it up on the priority list much sooner, but in all honesty, I feel the only people who really see it are myself, Scott, and Fiona...and we aren't THAT hard to impress! haha
All jokes aside- I have a vision for this room and the gorgeous Whitlock Pillow and Carlotta Armchair would be an absolutely perfect fit!

The A&F Shorts are on the list simply because I have heard so many fellow bloggers RAVE about these shorts! Y'all know I am NOT a fan of shorts.  So, when people start saying things like, they fit my mom-bod and my cheekies are covered...I'm giving them a go! Plus, they are on major sale!

I've linked everything up below!
What are your faves from the list this month?!
Make sure to comment below!

Ruffle Hem Pants $35
Whitlock and Co Pillow  $42
Kendra Scott Turquoise Pinch  Bracelet $55
Free People Scrunchie 3 for $12
A&F Shorts on Sale for $29
Carlotta Accent Chair $209
Camo Shoes $22

Trend Alert - Indigo Blue

A hot trend for Spring- Summer 2018 Interior Design...Indigo Blue!

I am so excited about this color trend!  Indigo to me is dark yet super vibrant and hello our house is FULL of this shade so obviously, I am a total fan and immensely enjoyed this round up - surprisingly enough there is not one single Chinoiserie vase in this collection! (somebody quick check my temperature) haha!

The first items I plan to snag will be the basket with gold handle details and the brushstroke pillow
Both of these items will work perfectly in our family room.

I've linked everything up to help you add a splash of indigo to your home!

Multipurpose Storage Bench would be perfect under a window seal or foot of a bed
Brushstroke Pillow (ps this pillow also comes in yellow and black
The gold detail basket comes in Large and Small
If you are scared of too much blue - this candle will help you add a simple touch of indigo
I have similar prints in our home in green, but how gorgeous is the blue?!! You can buy these individually or in a set!
 Rug in a 5x7 is UNDER $60!
Another easy way to add a subtle touch of indgo to your decor is by a vase!
Striped cylinder Vase
Short round Vase
Fan Palm Leaf

Big Spender vs On a Budget

A major realization and daily reminder I have to keep making to myself since moving into our home is that “Rome was NOT built in a day”!  I get that message loud and clear, but try telling a girl that when she dreams in décor!  It’s sometimes a hard pill to swallow, but one thing I have come to appreciate is letting go of my expensive taste and finding similar pieces at a much lower price point.  There really is a lot of gratification in the search when you find that perfect piece and save money in the process!

Here is a little bit of what I am talking about…As much as I want to purchase those “big spender” items, it would just be a little too frivolous at this point in our lives.  So, I search for similar items at half the price!

Big Spender
Complete Chemex Coffee Maker
ABC Home Overdyed Rug
Dot and Bo Wood Side Table

On a Budget
8 Cup Chemex Maker
Rugs USA Surya Rug
World Market Wood Plank Side Table

Looking for more “budget friendly” items?  Here are a few I am totally coveting at the moment!

Happy Shopping on this chilly Thursday!

Lenny Kravitz for CB2

When I look up the word “Cool” in the dictionary I totally believe there should be a picture of
Lenny Kravitz beside of it!  Since way back when I have thought Lenny had the
whole fashion industry on lock! He has amazing style when it comes to his wardrobe
and we aren’t even going to talk about his insane sunglasses collections!

As you can imagine his home is just as chic and his interior design
technique take on true rock star glamour.

You can only imagine my excitement when I learned Mr. Kravitz has
launched a home décor collection with CB2!!

If you haven’t seen the collection, check it out ASAP!
Here are a few of my faves!

I am love with so many of these pieces.
Times like these I wish our home had more of an edge to it.
We are pretty wholesome around The Gaither estate!
BUT, I do think I could find just the right spot for the lola table lamp and

Vintage Finds & Decisions to Make

A few weeks back on one  of my many excursions with mama, we laid eyes on
two vintage lamps from the 70’s. I seriously stopped in my tracks and whipped around to say “ MAMA…oh my  gahhh I HAVE to have these”.  I was obsessed at first glance.  Now, if you know me, you know that I don’t just go to your big retailer stores and shop for our home.  As I said earlier this week, I like character, I like unique finds!  I also may go 3 years with a  blank wall in a particular room because I “just haven’t quite found what I’m looking for”.  I don’t just buy to buy, well that’s when it comes to décor.  Clothes, now that’s a different story.  I have known from the beginning I wanted 2 large lamps for our master bedroom nightstands. These gems were the perfect shade of green and hello they have a dimmer switch…I’m sold!  After purchasing these two dolls I turned to Mama to say, ok now I just need bigger nightstands and two lamps shades. Haha
It’s never ending with me.

So today I’m calling on my DC readers!
What are your thoughts on the style of shade and color?
Being the simple, clean line lover that I am I was thinking white deep drum shaped shades.
Is that too boring or just right?!  I just don’t want to lose the uniqueness of the lamps
by a busy shade.  Here is what we are currently working with.

Keep in mind we are adding
décor over the bed, the drapes will be changing,
and larger nightstands will be added.

And a few looks I’m loving …

"One Thing at a Time" {Where's the Fun in That?}

As my husband, Scott likes to tell me,
"focus on one thing at a time" BUT, I say, where's the fun in that?
Tomorrow my rock-star of a brother, Brent and my daddy, or as I like to call him, the
man who hung the moon, will be at our home painting an accent wall in our family room.
I have an obsession with accent walls.
Once this wall is complete, that little present my mom dropped off on Saturday that I
told you about on Monday will be going up for all to see.
I am still on the hunt for 4 gold frames to also hang on this wall.
Sounds simple enough right?
Wrong!  I'm picky (yes I admit it) and I will know it when I see it!
Here's where the "focus on one thing at a time" comes in.
Yes, the gold frames are priority to complete the wall decor
but, a new coffee table is also priority in completing the overall look of the room!
Can I get an Amen on that?!

So, today as I put the hunt for gold frames on pause, I press play on the search for
a new coffee table.  Here is a round up of what I've found so far!

What do you think of using a bench as a coffee table?
The more I ponder this idea the more I'm loving?!

I Have a Secret & I'm Spilling the Beans

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

First let me just say you must have the luck of the Irish on your side today.
I am spilling the beans on a golden treasure I was introduced to a few months
back that I have been keeping all to myself! So wrong, I know!
My friend Elizabeth first introduced me to one of my new favorite blogs Plain Fancy and
the Queen of Consignment as I have dubbed her, Crystal Nagel.
Crystal seems to ALWAYS find the most ornate and unique pieces that will totally
have you swooning.  Back in January Crystal shared about her latest find, Move Loot

Move Loot is an online only furniture and home decor consignment company.
They have beautiful pieces at reasonable prices.
As of right now they have bases out of the San Francisco Bay Area,
Raleigh, Charlotte (Lucky us in NC), and a new branch in Georgia.

Here are a few pieces I am currently coveting.

Treat yourself to two amazing finds today!
You are sure to fall in love with both!
