Pantone 2016 Color of the Year

For the first time ever Pantone is blending two softer shades together to make this year's Color of the Year.  Allow me to introduce you to the warm tone of Rose Quartz and the cooler tone of Serenity.

I personally find these shades fitting for our upcoming 2016 year since we will be welcoming "Baby G" into the world and still have no idea if our little one is a boy or a girl!  We will all know in March!

Today I decided let's round up a fun collection of decor and fashion must haves in these delicate hues and give the new color(s) a warm welcome!

I Spy {A Monochromatic Roundup}

By now you are fully aware that Pantone named Emerald the color of 2013.  I could not have been more thrilled with the news as the hue compliments just about every skin tone and shade of tresses in my opinion.  BUT, I say let’s not limit ourselves to only rich Emerald tones and in no way should you limit this gorgeous shade to your clothing only!
Here is a monochromatic roundup of the gorgeous shade I feel certain you will love!

1. delightfully chic {flower votive}
2. design darling {zebra matches}
3. bauble bar {emerald disco bangle}
4. zara home {ostrich appointment book}
5. shop/ten/25 {green richard nixon throw}
6. urban outfitters {frog salt and pep}
7. iomoi {set of 14 pens}
8. delightfully chic {ceramic plate}

I Spy: Spring 2013

As we start to welcome another season of change and embrace all the warm and rich colors of fall, the fashion world says it's time to turn our sights to a mix of cheerful brights and tranquil neutrals that is Spring 2013.

Last week during NY Fashion Week, Pantone announced the colour palette for next spring and I for one am tickled over the upcoming hues!
I love that there are pops of bright colors and not just your typical softer tones of spring.  There is even a great mix of basic tones to incorporate with several different looks!

So, what do you think?  Are you diggin??

I will be posting spring inspiration later this week so stop back by!
