My Comfy Bed & Cotton

It’s official the weather roller coaster has taken me for a ride and I am now SICK!  

 From a beautiful 70 degrees yesterday and a low of 19 today with a chance of snow, I mean it’s kind of to be expected right?  Thanks Mother Nature, you’re the best!   
The only thing on my mind right now is my warm comfy bed which in turn then makes 
my mind drift to cotton stems.  I know, just a day in the life of 
a runny nose, watery eyed interior design lover.

I was just telling the husband and mother-in-law the other day that I need to grab a few stems to place in our guest bathroom.  I just love the purity and gentleness of the little white poufs.

The Color of Love {Red}

In honor of Valentines and in keeping with my theme of love this week,

I figured today we could use a little motivation to get us pumped up 

for the big day with pops of red!

Magnolia {Farmhouse Chic}

One of my and Scott's favorite shows to watch is Fixer Upper on HGTV.  If you aren’t familiar with the show, stop what you are doing and set your DVR to record!! You will absolutely fall in love with Joanna and Chip Gaines, the muscle and beauty behind each gorgeous reno!  Not only are these two ridiculously talented, but, they are one of the most loving and compassionate couples on TV.  It’s an extremely nice break from a lot of garbage {to put it nicely}  that fills our airwaves today.

Joanna has a few signature pieces she is known for and I’ll be sharing more next week but, today I wanted to share one of “Jo Jo’s” (as Chip calls her) go to fixer upper farmhouse meets glam pieces…The sliding barn door!  My very best friend Rebecca and her husband Greg are in the process of building their forever home on a huge plot of family land that will be oozing in old farmhouse beauty and this is one statement piece I’m dying to see her incorporate!  I can hardly stand the wait to see this gem!!

HGTV & College Girlfriends

Yesterday, I was simply over the moon excited for a dear college friend of mine, Lindsey (Tilley) Cheek and her husband Grayson. A few months back Lindsey, Gray, and their beautiful daughter Tilley-Gray invited HGTV into their home for a photo shoot that would be featured in an upcoming issue of the mag. After several months (feeling more like an eternity for them I'm sure) the wait is finally over. The glossy pages hit the stands yesterday and the six page spread is simply gorgeous and total perfection!
