What's Your Flavor? Plaid, Tartan, Buffalo Check...

I know so many of you are like me right now and just cannot get enough plaid, tartan, and buffalo check in your life.  Our kitchen Christmas decor is currently a mix of buffalo check and plaid and I LOVE IT!  If you follow @delightfullychic on IG I know you have seen my current obsession in several post!

BUT...Let's talk fashion.  Anyone else dying to get your hands on the perfect pair of buffalo check flats or plaid heels?  Here is a roundup that hopefully will help us all out!

Ok- Spill it...what are your faves?!

I have to be honest I'm loving BOTH of the Brooks Brothers Flats, the Armani pump, and the darling Penny Loves Kenny buffalo check flats!!

The Minimalist - Fall Decor

This past weekend Scott and I escaped to Asheville to celebrate our anniversary and relax.  The weather was AMAZING.  It was still warm, but there was a very early crisp fall breeze in the air and the leaves were just starting to show hints of yellow and orange.  The cool air was all it took to give me that extra push into total fall mode.  If you follow Delightfully Chic on Instagram you know I have been sitting on the edge of fall for a few weeks now so I didn't need much of a push.

We are having hardwoods installed throughout our entire downstairs at the end of the month so Scott keeps reminding me not to go too crazy with fall decor until after the floors are down.  This is seriously asking a lot of a girl who lives for seasonal decor changes.

To keep things minimal to start I am planning to incorporate plaid and striped throw blankets in our family room on the DIY Blanket Ladder I made a while back.  (See the tutorial here)

As before starting any project or decor change up, I always turn to a magazine (new or old) the smell and feel of the glossy pages still gets me and of course our modern day faux glossy pages of Pinterest for inspiration.

Here is a round up of a few super cozy fall throws that I have my eye on!

Fashion Fix Friday {Plaid Scarves}

I hope you all had an awesome NYE and started 2015 off right!
We went super low key and went out to dinner, then stopped by the ole Harris Teeter on the way home to pick up some bubbly and snuggled up on the couch for a Game of Thrones Marathon. Have y'all ever seen this show?? We just started season one and wowzers is all I can say!  I had no idea how "raunchy" the show was!  After the hubs fell asleep on the couch I flipped it over to Dick Clark's New Year's Eve and rocked out to my girl Taylor Swift.  How seriously AMAZING does she look these days? AND confidence for days...LOVE IT!  At 11:50pm I popped the booze and woke my hunny for a little 10, 9, 8, 7 action and a smooch!
Hello 2015 I hope you are just as amazing as 2014!

Ok, on to the good stuff…

Scarves!!
I honestly, do not think anyone can have too many scarves-
they are best accessory and can totally change up several different outfits by
swapping out with a new scarf.
My latest obsession is plaid scarves.
You would think this would be a simple find but, scouting the perfect one can sometimes be a little more tricky than one would think.

The hunt is real and continues...

I Spy...

First off- My complete apologies for my blogging hiatus the past few days as I have been recovering from the nasty funk that is strep throat!  Totally knocked me out and threw me way behind schedule on everything!!
I am slowly working myself back up to high gear today so bear with me as I "catch up".

Ok...Let's get to the good stuff...tomorrow is the first day of fall and your closet should definitely be equipped with lots of plaid as well as other fall trends seen here.

Burberry is famously known for it's trench coat but it's the added royal touch of plaid that most seek with each purchase!

So when the plaid craze hit for fall--my eyes immediately turned to Burberry runway...

AMAZE

Thank goodness they got it right...could you imagine if they hadn't...epic fail!

The Marc by Marc Jacobs Ready-to-Wear Fall Collection

A sophisticated smash!

And if your budget is like mine and you can't quite shop via the runway here are a few hits that won't drain your bank account!
