Fashion Fix Friday {Choker Necklace}

This week we are talking about a trend that I totally was obsessed with in the early 90's!
Choker necklaces!
I swear, give me a cameo choker necklace and call it a day!! I loved them and STILL love this look.  I am super excited to see them popping up again.  This time around I might just let the cameo be, while I obsess the look of the ribbon choker.

Here are a few looks to get you inspired!

Are you lovin'?  Are you totally stoked to see this trend return?

STYLED: The Look for Less

Happy Friday!  Can you believe they are calling for MORE snow AND ice??! I am almost certain Mr. Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow and proclaimed "There is no shadow to be cast! An early spring is my forecast!"  I guess that's what we get for leaving our weather fortunes up to a cute little groundhog!

On a brighter note I just scored you the ever gorgeous Kate Bosworth's look totaling up a price tag just shy of $5000 for less than $500!
I call this a win!

STYLED: The Look for Less

Over the past few weeks I have received lots of feedback from Dchic readers telling me how much they are loving the posts on shopping a look or  items we all swoon over but can’t afford for less.  So, my wheels have been turning!  I think it’s time to start making this a weekly feature.  What do you think?  Let’s wrap the week and kick the weekend off with our brand new series called,  Styled: The Look for Less

Shea Marie of Peace Love Shea is a style blogger that I have followed for some time now and literally obsess over so many of her looks.  As much as I would love to snatch up every item in Shea’s closet, reality is my bank account just can’t handle the greatness.  Talk about a buzzkill!  So today we are looking at one of her outfits that I’m totally loving, but with it ringing up to well over $2,000, I just can’t swing.  I have pulled together a super similar look that won’t drain your bank account and still looks amazing!

Pregnancy Boots

I have had a pair of brown boots that I have "latched on to" like my favorite old sweatshirt for way too long now.  So for Christmas I asked for a new pair!  I have had the hardest time finding the perfect "replacement" so I turned the task over to Scott to handle and on Christmas morning he delivered the most perfect pair of shiny new boots in true Santa fashion.  I was OVER the moon excited and just loved them.  I immediately tried them on only to quickly realize that my pregnancy weight and newly swollen calves were having a total Cinderella stepsister moment and my "little glass slipper" just wasn't going to happen. The zipper was screaming don't do it...pleaseee! Scott, being Scott said..."Well we will just set them aside until after March and make a quick trip to Target (aka my second home) to pick up an inexpensive pair in a larger size to take you through the last couple of months of pregnancy." So, we did just that!

My shinny new Vince Camuto Boots...
and my $44 Target Lace Up Find!

Now, today is my first day wearing my new lace up Target boots and I have to say...I am loving them! The laces are just "me" and hello no matter how much this body grows over the next 10 weeks I can just loosen up those little laces and keep on stepping!

Wishing you all an amazing weekend and leaving you with a little lace up inspiration!

Fashion Fix Friday {Your Black Friday Wardrobe}

Next Friday is a day I look forward to every year!! BLACK FRIDAY!
Am I out there chasing deals?  No!  Am I out there looking for that one particular item? Nope! Am I out there for no reason at all but to take in the madness and complete chaos of the biggest shopping day of the year?!  Absolutely!
I love seeing everyone out shopping with Starbucks in hand, in full on Christmas mode! It’s the BEST!
But, with every Black Friday there comes one particular piece of business we all have to carefully think out, and that’s the outfit for the day!  We need comfort and we need layers!  On a typical Black Friday you can go from freezing in a line outside to sweating like you’re at the gym faster than you can say, SALE!  So today I have styled 3 super simple and comfortable looks to help you pull your wardrobe together for the big day!

 One item you will find in each of these looks is the Madewell Transporter Tote.
This has been my bag obsession for several months now.
Here's to hoping Santa delivers this gem to me on Christmas!

Happy Weekend!

Fashion Fix Friday {Over the Knee Boot}

A look I think it’s probably safe to say we are all loving this fall is the ever
flirty and sultry over the knee boot.

There is just something I think all of us girls experience when we slip into our boots
and they bring a sense of confidence and chicness to our wardrobe.
 No matter the heel height they always seem just right!

Here are 6 over the knee boots for every price point that I am dying over!
 I am kindly asking for anyone who loves me dearly and reading this post today to feel free
 to add the Frye and/or Kristin Cavallari boots to my Christmas Wish List as I have
for sure been placed on Santa’s Nice List this year!
