Christmas Movie Round Up

Ok, so the first movie on the list is not a Christmas movie however, I have been wanting to spread the greatness of this movie for sometime now so...here goes! 

Blended, staring one of our favorite match-ups (need I remind you 50 First Dates) Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler is brillant and of course hilarious!  I seriously would go from laughing out loud to bawling my eyes out from happy tears!  The hubs and I picked this unexpected new fave up from the redbox the night before we moved into our new home and curled up to watch on a pallet we had made on the floor. #makingmemories

I don't want to give away details so just pour some hot tea or live on the edge and sip a hot toddy and curl up with those you love to watch this Christmas Holiday!!

I Spy {Halloween Movie Picks}

I will be the first to admit I am at TOTAL scaredy cat! I am talking almost 32 years old and STILL scared of the dark! That’s right I keep a night light in my room… #noshameinmygame 

I love Halloween but, I do not need scary people covered in fake blood jumping out at me or some ax murderer haunting my dreams.  I made the mistake of seeing the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, you know the one with Jessica Biel back in 2003? Well after sitting through the entire movie curled up in a tiny ball with my eyes covered 90% of the time I swore my days of attempting to watch horror movies was OVER! So when it comes to scary movies I keep it pretty PG. 

Here are a few of my faves that are fun for the whole fam and a few that will scare ya just enough but, won’t have you sleeping with one eye open!

Happy Gatsby Day!!

I have been patiently waiting for The Great Gatsby movie remake to hit the big screen since the first release date of Christmas Day! The day is here and I have decided, being the amazing daughter that I am, to wait just two more days (feeling like an eternity) until Mother’s Day to watch with my sweet Mama!!
For all those going to see tonight, I envy you. For those of you like me who are waiting another few days, I have two songs from the amazing soundtrack included in this week’s Top 5 Downloads!

“Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey

Two other songs I have to make mention of are by twin Canadian sisters Tegan and Sara Quin. “Closer” and “I was a fool” are just two of their songs off their latest album Heartthrob and let me just say, picking only two tracks was next to impossible when I absolutely adore all of them.
The last six songs I’ve kept in rotation since last week. A few to make you dance, a couple to turn your “swag” on to, and one you and your girlfriends can sing to the top of your lungs, flexing the golden pipes!

So turn up the volume and push play!!

Too Hot For The Hot Tub...

Could things BE any hotter this weekend?!  With record breaking temps and Magic Mike hitting theatres...I mean do I even need to say anymore?!  I'm hot just thinking about it!

Tickets have been purchased for tonights showing and my fave girlfriends and I are now ready to get all diva-ed up and let the blushing and giggles begin!

Tomorrow, as for my usual poolside lounging... well it will be more like submersing myself in H20 the entire day.  No way that even this summer lover can stand 106 degree temps!

Stay cool this weekend and don't forget to check on your loved ones as well as your furry little friends!

Movie Night...

A darling friend I've had the pleasure of meeting through the wonderful social networking world shared the movie trailer for the upcoming release of The Great Gatsby and I literally just about flipped with excitement!!

The costume designer must have had a blast working on this movie!  The wardrobe collection is INSANE!!

I'm not sure I will be able to wait until the December 25 release date!!
