The Gaither Kitchen: Buffalo Cauliflower Bites

On Super Bowl Sunday I shared these delicious Buffalo Cauliflower Bites with all of you on my Instagram Stories and I had an overwhelming response of followers reach out for the recipe.

So today I am sharing this super easy vegetarian bite size appetizer.

Gather your Ingredients

1 tbsp Butter
1/2 cup Milk
1/2 cup Water
1 head Cauliflower
2 tsp Garlic powder
3/4 cup all-purpose flour - adjust as needed
cauliflower should be coated but not dripping
1 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp Pepper, ground
1/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Cumin

Make Some Magic

1. Preheat oven to 430F

2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper (this helps with sticking and helps with cleanup)

3. Wash cauliflower and cut into bite-sized florets

4. In a mixing bowl mix water, milk, flour, and all spices together – again mix until the cauliflower is coated but not dripping

5. The fun part – dip cauliflower into batter or if you are like me and always in a hurry, dump all cauliflower into the mixing bowl and give them a quick toss.  Shake off excess batter and space out cauliflower on parchment lined baking sheet

6. Bake for 20-25 mins and then give a good toss about 10-15 mins into cooking –
this helps brown all sides

7. After you give them a turn start making your buffalo sauce.  In a saucepan melt butter and buffalo sauce together on low heat

8. Once cauliflower has cooked removed and gently toss in the buffalo sauce you prepared

9. Return cauliflower back to over to bake an additional 12-18 minutes.
Baking longer will help to crisp them. I also on the last minute turn the oven to broil (watching very closely) just to give an extra crisp.

10. Plate and serve with dipping sauce of choice.  I of course went for my favorite…ranch!

And there you have it!

Super easy, delicious, and meat free!

Happy Dipping!

My Top 5 Daily Beauty Essentials

Let me first start off by saying I am NO expert on this topic, but I have tried (like so many of us) just about every product on the market.  I also, have the incredibly talented hair and makeup artist Dena Christine close by guiding and pointing me in the right direction.  For Christmas this past year she totally set a sister up for success with several new products to try.

So, I'm sharing today 5 products that are now in my everyday routine that I will never be able to leave without again!  If you haven't tried these products I really hope you will give them a try.
Per usual I am linking everything up to make it easier for you!

1. Urban Decay Optical Illusion Complexion Primer - I was one of the unfortunate Mama's who developed a pregnancy mask instead of that gorgeous pregnancy glow.  I was so happy pregnant that I really didn't realize I did not have that beautiful dewy complexion until after delivery and looking back at pictures.  After pregnancy I realized I had developed  Melasma and it is a bear to combat. I also have a larger pore size. When I say this primer is AMAZING...hear me!  It helps to conceal my pore size and keep my foundation in place to help conceal the skin discoloration.

2. Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion - To be completely honest I've always just considered my foundation as my primer for my eye-shadow, but eye shadow primer is a total game changer.  I never have to worry about smudges or creasing with this primer.

3. Urban Decay All Nighter Finishing Spray - Remember that dewy skin I was talking about?!  This finishing spray total seals in your look and gives that fresh dewy look to your skin.  I use about three sprays and hold about 4 inches from my face when spraying.  With warmer months ahead this is a must to have in your beauty collection.

4. Estee Lauder - Double Wear Light - I feel like most of you already know this is HANDS DOWN the BEST foundation ever.  BUT, for those that don't I promise you will thank me for this one.  I literally have tried every foundation on the market.  Prior to Fiona my face was crazy oily and nothing would stay on my face giving full coverage for more than a couple of hours.  I have worn double wear light and the double wear full cover for YEARS and no matter the season or cycle change in life this foundation stands the test of time!

5. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - If you are looking to plump up your lashes without clumping this is the mascara for you!  I have super short lashes and this really gives them life.  On weekends I try to use my lash curler and that really helps too.

So there you have it!
My top 5 everyday beauty essentials!

Wishing you all a beautiful Valentine's Day!

Business in the Front...The Mule

I've had a tendency lately of referencing things to a mullet! Maybe it's because our little Fiona has been rocking one for months (we did just part with hers this past weekend when she got her 1st haircut...see the pics here).  I also recently shared our new kitchen rug where I let you all in on our "kitchen mullet" secret.  You can see those details here!

So moving on to my new "mullet" obsession...MULES!
Can't you see the business in the front and party in the back?!

I have been eyeing several pairs for a while now, but it wasn't until about a month ago that I finally picked up a pair and HELLO I was totally missing out.

Here is a round up of my current favorites.  I've linked them all below so you can grab a pair (or two) for yourself!
Seriously, I need all of these to move into my shoe closet ASAP!

1. Leopard
2. Grey, Pink, Black
3. Pointed Mules (velvet and leather)
5. The Blush Mule bow, breezy, palmer mule

1. Leopard prints I feel like we all have a tendency to debate if they are a trend or classic - I have to say I think it's a total classic and everyone needs a few staple leopard pieces in their closet for when they are feeling extra frisky!

2. Ok these darlings come in 4 different colors and are only $34!  A pair of these will definitely be coming home with me!

3. These mules, especially the brown leather are floating ALL over IG and every time I see them I am more convinced I need them!  I'm told they are BEYOND comfortable!

4. That first pair of mules I snagged...this would be them! Seriously, they are like a dressed up bedroom shoe that you are actually allowed to wear outside of your home! I love to pair mine with oversized sweaters and my Rock-star Jeggings!!  I actually just wore them on Sunday - you can see the outfit details here.

5. "My Colors are Blush and Bashful"... Sorry, I cannot resist a chance to quote Steele Magnolias!   So for me these are just so lady like and delicate and for those reasons alone, I need them!

6.  Last, but not least...the mule I have been obsessing over and debating which color I want to order! This style comes in 6 different colors and I've narrowed it down to these three! Feel free to comment below and help me decide!

So, for all you ladies on the fence about should you or shouldn't you buy those cute pair of mules...DO IT!! I promise they will quickly become your new favorite everyday shoe!

Pillow Talk - Pajama Round Up

Let’s talk pajamas.  Yall, I have a serious love of all things comfy.  I will NOT buy something if I think it’s uncomfortable. I do not care what the item might be…WAIT, I would still forgo the comfort of my feet for a pair of Jimmy Choo’s, but then I draw the line!  Ok, that being said, I have a deep dark secret to share and it involves my pajamas.  I have a pair of pink VS pants from like 50 years ago and a pair of navy Abercrombie pj pants from um, like 100 years ago that I REFUSE TO PART WITH.  I am talking super saggy on the caboose, holes, way long so the drag the ground a little…all around HOTMESS, but as comfortable as a Sherpa snuggie.  When I have a bad day, or I’m just extra exhausted Scott will say to me, “I bet you want to go straight home and put on your pink pants” haha…It is THAT bad y’all!  So, I am trying to pull an intervention on myself and up my PJ game.  Please know this does not mean my pink and navy classics will be going away, I just might store them until I have a REALLY bad day then pull them out.  Ok, now they just sound like a security blanket! Eek…send help quick!

Here are a few sets that I plan to pick up this weekend that are sure to make me feel like I have my life together and are still extra cozy.

Ok- These first three are currently on SALE for $10 each with FREE SHIPPING right now!
SCORE!  I am also thinking these sets would make great add on gift for the ladies in our family!
