For the Love of Cooking {God Bless the USA and Brie Cheese}

If you are a daily reader of Delightfully Chic or know me even just a little bit,
you know that…

1) I am almost a complete vegetarian
Over the past 2 months I have just about cut all meat from my diet.
Fish and the occasional southern breakdown moment for a BBQ sandwich are all that remain.

2) I could live off of cheese, pickles and olives!
Seriously, this is all I need to survive.

One of my all-time favorite go to cheese is Brie.
When it starts bubbling in the oven, this girl is getting excited!
Over the holidays Cranberry Brie Bites were my go to recipe that I kept on repeat!
Super Easy and a total hit!  Now that the days are getting much warmer
 I have a new recipe I am dying to try.

Grilled Blackberry, Strawberry, Basil and Brie Pizza Crisp
with Honey Balsamic Glaze

Is it just me or does this not look like the perfect 4th of July treat?!
God Bless the USA and Brie Cheese!

Ingredients
 1/2 (about 1/2 a pound) recipe of your favorite pizza dough
1/4 cup olive oil

8-12 ounces brie, sliced
1 1/2 cups strawberries, chopped
3/4 cup blackberries
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Balsamic Honey Glaze

for this amazingly good twist on your ordinary pizza!

Inspiration and Power in HIS Words {Joanna Gaines}

If there is one person who inspires me, outside of family, that would have to be
Joanna Gaines. Joanna or as her friends and loving husband Chip call her "Jo Jo",
is one of those people you just can't ever seem to get enough of.
From her amazing talents that she showcases weekly on their hit TV show
Fixer Upper to her beautiful store Magnolia Market.  Jo Jo is oozing in success!
She has an absolutely gorgeous family and as I said before super loving husband that
builds her up and supports her in so many ways.
If you are a fan of the show, you know exactly what I am talking about.

This past week Joanna took a few minutes to share her powerful and inspiring story
about faith, family, and responding to the call of God and the impact HE has had on her life.

This is just too good not to share...The world would be a better place if we had
more role models like sweet Jo Jo in our daily social media feeds and in life.

Thank you "Jo Jo" for staying true to your faith
and all that you are doing for little ole dreamers like me!

Quote of the Week {Easter Wrap-Up}

How was your Easter?
I hope you were able to soak up lots of QT with your family
and friends!  We started the weekend out by going back to our
country roots and had a mini "field" party.
Ok, so it was more like my bestie, her hubs,
their insanely gorgeous daughters, and Scott and I.
AND we might have only " partied" from like 5-8pm BUT,
it was a crazy good time!
You might remember me mentioning Rebecca (my bff) and Greg's
amazing family land before and their plans to build
their forever home.  We were so excited to see the land cleared and stakes in the ground.
The moment they have been waiting years for has finally arrived.

Raylee, Greg, Rebecca, and Carley Grace standing where
their future home will be!

And then these two wild and crazy kids!

On Sunday, we were able to enjoy church and then
Easter egg dyeing with the whole family!
It was a beautiful weekend and memories were made that I will always cherish!

And with all that being said...this quote just felt right for this week!

 Wishing you a beautiful week!

Fashion Fix Friday {Sunday Best}

Happy Good Friday and Happy Easter weekend!
This week’s Fashion Fix I am featuring a few dresses from
one of my favorite shops, Francesca’s.
I just adore the colors and textures of these dresses and
find them all just perfect for Easter Sunday.

Did I mention they are all $90 or LESS?!

Living, He loved me, dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He's coming, oh, glorious day, oh, glorious day

Today the man who hung the moon (aka my daddy) was admitted to the
hospital for surgery.  All went well and we are in recovery now
but, keep the prayers coming.
