Quote of the Week {Weekend Wrap Up}

This past weekend Scott and I slipped off to Charlotte to spend 

time with our good friends who are expecting their first baby in September!

It was such a fun and relaxing weekend!

 There was pool time, great food, great friends, and beautiful

sunsets by the water!

 I told yall we have been on a grilled cheese kick lately, the streak continues!

 We also went to this amazing little bakery called La Patisserie that served amazing crepes!

If and when I have the chance to indulge in a crepe you can bet that's what I do!

Satruday night we had dinner and drinks by the water and 

took in a beautiful sunset.

This week I feel like I want to continue with my 

relaxation and bump up the "namaste" in my life even more.

For The Love Of Cooking {And...Poolside Celebrations}

Sorry to go all MIA on ya yesterday but, after my sweet Presley had a GREAT check up at the vet, this little lady went poolside with friends, my darling mama, and my bro's girlfriend Tina to celebrate and relax!!!  Presley no doubt needed the house to herself to sleep a little after her stressful morning ;)

No surprise my brother JUST couldn't keep away from the fun...so of course he crashed the party!

If you are a regular of the Delightfully Chic Blog then you know one of my fave sites to visit for amazing and healthy recipes is Skinny Taste!

There have been so many yummy recipes on ST this summer and as much as I'd like to try them all I have yet to find a personal chef (dream come true) to make them for me.  Total Bummer!

Well hello sunshine…Mighty fine to see you!!

It’s 85 degrees here in beautiful NC today and I could not be more ready to hit the beach, pool, lake, doesn’t matter just pass this girl some Hawaiian Tropic, a beach towel , and a flirty bikini and call it a day!
When it’s this warm out I am not much on food (no one wants to be bloated poolside) but, I am, no matter what the temp, always game for a little champs! Toss in frozen, fresh fruit to cool down the friskiness of summer, signed sealed delivered…I’m YOURS!

I plan to stick to my normal summer routine of poolside lounging with amazing friends!  There has been mention of adding a game of "beach" volleyball into the Saturday routine...
