4 Healthy Overnight Parfaits

I am constantly looking for healthy and easy items to add to the breakfast line up at our house.  What would be even better is to find healthy yet tasty recipes that I can prepare the night before and grab on my way out the door.  I honestly think I have finally found a few parfaits that provide great health benefits and bonus, the bulk of the preparation you can complete the night before.

Raspberry and Chia Seed Parfait

Grilled Peach Parfait

Vanilla Almond Quinoa Parfait

Blueberry Mango Oats Parfait

Do you have any go to breakfast items that are healthy and can be prepared in advance?

For the Love of Cooking {AND Tacos}

If you know anything about Scott and I you know that
dinner at the Gaither house each week always includes Taco Tuesday.
In the rare event that something catastrophic happens and we can't have
Taco Tuesday, we celebrate our love for tacos on an alternate night.
It really is a taco obsession.  Did I mention my comfort food is NOT chocolate,
it's actually Taco Bell!!!
That's right! Did you just cringe?  Well, I just got hungry!

So, all that to say, I think it's time to turn taco night
into a morning treat too.

 Taco Breakfast Burritos!
I love this recipe found on my fave blog Camille Styles.
It includes all my faves and bonus, meat free!

For the Love of Cooking {Monuts Donuts}

Today we are mixing things up a little on For the Love of Cooking!
Instead of sharing a recipe I decided to share a restaurant
that is as quirky and unique as it is delicious!

Good food unites, good people inspire and good jobs support is the belief
that Monuts Donuts lives by and I for one just find this super refreshing!

Monuts is a new local hotspot in Durham, North Carolina that is owned and operated by Chefs Lindsay Moriarty and Rob Gillespie.  Lindsay actually started the business out by scooting around town on a re-purposed tricycle serving up her delicious homemade doughnuts.  It didn’t take long before Lindsay was the talk and total hit of all the local food truck roundups.

So glad, they have found a permanent home in Durham and
we have the chance to enjoy them daily!

I actually stopped by the hotspot this morning for breakfast!
Umm...Seconds Please!

Why handout boring ole numbers when you can hand out donkeys, bears, and
seismosaurus cards?! Who the heck has even heard of this creature before? Now thanks
to Monuts I know all about this plant eating dino!

If you are ever in the area make sure you put this on your to do list!

For The Love Of Cooking

I am ALWAYS looking for new breakfast recipes.
I feel like this is one area that can get a little monotonous.  Eggs, bacon, pancakes, and...repeat!
This Banana Sandwich is a simple way to shake things up a bit.
Maybe even toss some fresh strawberries and blueberries into the mix for color and taste.

Hmm...anyone else thinking breakfast for dinner tonight?!

See the complete recipe over at one of my new favorite blogs Sugar and Charm!!

For The Love Of Cooking

Summer will be here before we know it!
Of course that means bikini time...
So for the past few weeks I've been really trying to eat clean and get my fitness on.
Then I spied this little breakfast treat and figured, maybe I will just skip the bikini, go for a one-piece??
