Turn up the lovely sounds of Billie Holiday and

enjoy this tasty cocktail while having a throwback to the 1940's!

Gin Fizz

Ingredients

-2 ounces orange juice

-1 1/4 ounces gin

-1 tablespoon simple syrup

-4 ounces fresh pink grapefruit juice

-seltzer

Directions

1. In a glass, pour orange juice over ice. Combine gin, simple syrup, and pink grapefruit juice; slowly pour over orange juice. Top with seltzer.

Sunday Sanctuary

Sunday's here again-I wish I could say I had a nice relaxing weekend but, it's been another busy one and there is no slowing down for the next several weeks!

I want to go ahead now and tell all my dear friends, family, blog readers, twitter loves, fb friends, etc I am so very sorry if I go MIA on phone calls, socials, comments, tweets...you get the picture but, this girl has tunnel vision now and ALL my time and energy are being completely consumed with the launch of the DC Shop!!

Things are moving forward FAST and I couldn't be more excited!!

For The Love Of Cooking

First off- My complete apologies for my blogging hiatus the past few days as I have been recovering from the nasty funk that is strep throat!  Totally knocked me out and threw me way behind schedule on everything!!

I am slowly working myself back up to high gear today so bear with me as I "catch up".

Ok...Let's get to the good stuff...tomorrow is the first day of fall and your closet should definitely be equipped with lots of plaid as well as other fall trends seen here.

Burberry is famously known for it's trench coat but it's the added royal touch of plaid that most seek with each purchase!

So when the plaid craze hit for fall--my eyes immediately turned to Burberry runway...

Please tell me you're a victim of the beyond addicting Pinterest...I need someone to make me feel better about the hours I spend browsing and pinning!

I literally have a plate full with the launch of the DC Shop just around the corner but, every time I head over for a little inspiration I'm completely sucked in with major tunnel vision for what seems like hours! 

Seriously, It's a major prob-lemo!
