I have been debating on this recipe for a couple of weeks now. It looks amazing but, I'm iffy on the beets!! When I was a little girl I remember eating them all the time with my daddy. I don't know if it was because I wanted to be like him OR the fun color of them??
Either way, I think I'm going to give this one a go sometime soon!!
It's the best way to capture what's going on around you...It's similar to Instagram but in "Real Time" which I LOVE not to mention the filters are fab!
So you all know I have been on a total lifestyle change/healthy eating kick!
The two best apps to keep me on track...My Net Diary, where I keep a daily log of food intake and exercise and Calorie King, which has about 90% of your big chain restaurants and breaks down the nutrition facts on your favorite dishes!
I am trying really hard to save a little extra money for summer concerts and projects around the house. So, when I saw this recipe that incorporates my fave veggies and for UNDER $10...I totally went into my signature "happy dance"
It has been a great weekend full of smiles and laughter!!
Friday night I was totally reminded of my new found age of 30 when I decided to skip a night on the town to hear a fave band of mine to visit the new Whole Foods
that had just opened in Greensboro!
The trip was a success...delish treats, champs, and pick six beer!!
Saturday my heart absolutely smiled with pure happiness!! My daddy's all time fave singer is Merle Haggard. I don't even know that most of you will know him but, the man is a genius when it comes to writing true country music!! Growing up I hated listening to his music but as I've gotten older and after multiple concerts with my daddy I have grown to love him and consider him one of my favorites too! Saturday night my daddy, brother and I all headed to the concert...knowing that Merle is now 75 years old and not in the best health we all knew this may be the last time we saw him sing (kinda sad). My brother being the AMAZING brother he is surprised my daddy and our tix were for the FRONT ROW! I can't even begin to explain how happy it makes me to see my daddy so happy!!
It was a blast and of course there were the usual brother sister shenanigans!
Daddy has his hands full with us two!
Today we had temps in the 80's and there was only one thing I really wanted to do (since i was lobsterfied at the pool Saturday, soaking up rays was not an option)...
Yeap...Burgers and Beevo's to wrap up an amazing weekend!
What did you do this weekend?
Was the weather as gorgeous in your town as it was here?!
I set out with the best intentions to make this particular cucumber sandwich on Easter for the fam. However, I was sidetracked by my latest project...a vintage chic wall collage in the guest bedroom (pics coming soon). My amazing family was stuck with the pack on a few extra pounds pretzel rolo/turtle...so sorry for the extra gym hours I've created for everyone but, my word they are delish!
Ok...total sidetrack moment number 2 ("turtles" have a way of doing that to your mind and waistline).
I am hopeful that this upcoming Sunday I will have a chance to enjoy the 80 degree temps and give this recipe from Ezra Pound Cake along with a mouth watering cocktail via Fashionably Bombed a go!
As many of you know I am over the moon obsessed with Moroccan decor! I am still to this day (3 years later) absolutely baffled by the fact that I did not decorate my entire house in gorgeous warm and rich shades of orange and pink with the most eccentric lanterns hanging from every corner!!
I dream daily about the day I pack up and move to South Beach where I plan to build my Moroccan Oasis...Living in Miami, tile flooring is a must as it is in Morocco...so duh is just the place if I am going to keep it in the States...right?!!
