The Cove

So if you know me you know I absolutely love anything to do with summer time!  Kevin swears I could have every meal during summer outside!  Having dinner in South Florida on the intercostal waterway with beautiful homes and yachts passing by for scenery is a wonderful added bonus!
Needless to say...I knew long before we arrived at The Cove, this was my kind of place!

I had the most yummy cosmopolitan with blackened grouper that was to die for!  I swear the grouper could not have been anymore tender!  Kevin enjoyed a smorgasbord of broiled seafood that he raved about.

The next time you are in South Florida you have to add the Cove to your to-do list!  It's a must!!!
I can't wait for our next trip!

What are restaurants you enjoy dinning at during the beautiful summer season??!!

Material Girl

I can't say I have loved Madonna in every stage of her career but I can definitely say I LOVED Madonna back in her Borderline, Crazy for you, Material Girl phase!! So I am super excited to see the launch of her new line Material Girl that her daughter Lourdes has also helped to create!  The collection is ALL about layers, prints, and lace!  All of the clothing reverts back to Madonna's styling in the mid to late 80's.

Collection is expected to hit stores August 8, 2010

Below is a sneak peak of some of the pieces from the collection...

So what do you think?
I love the plaid and lace button up but I would like to see Madonna take the line up a
notch or two!

So one of my favorite blogs is Simply Stated ...a blog created from www.realsimple.comIt is a must see!! Below is one their recent post and I felt I had to share since we are all looking for great cocktails for this 4th of July weekend!  Thanks Simply Stated for bringing all these great cocktails together and sharing!! I can't wait to mix them up and try this weekend!!   Hope you all enjoy!

1. Fourth of July Cocktail from Guy Fieri

A thin slice of jalapeno or serrano pepper adds a fiery kick to this tequila-based cocktail, which gets it's pretty colors from cranberry juice, watermelon schnapps, and blue curacao. *Provided by Food Network*

2. Strawberry Sucker

Strawberry schnapps, vodka, and club soda make up this sweet & fizzy afternoon drink. Add a skewer of blueberries for a splash of blue!

3. Watermelon Mint Cooler

Ingredients

• 4 cups seedless watermelon chunks (about 1 pound)
• 1 1/2 cups lemonade
• 1/2 cup fresh mint
• blackberries for garnish (optional)

Directions

In a blender, puree the watermelon and lemonade; strain if desired.  Stir in the mint and serve over ice. For an instant cocktail: Stir in 1/2 cup vodka or tequila before serving.
Garnish with a blackberries.

4. Patriotic Margarita

This pretty drink gets it's striped look from a layer of blue HPNOTIQ Liqueur topped with a red layer made from strawberry puree, dark rum, coconut milk, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, and crushed ice.

5. Red, White, and HPNOTIQ Blue Martini

Blue liqueur and grenadine give this citrus vodka-based martini it's patriotic flair. Garnished coconut adds a touch of white!
